Small non-refillable disposable gas-filled cylinders are secure, compact, economic and lightweight — a cost-effective and simpler option than large industrial cylinders, with no rental, no contract and no periodic re-certification. They are ideal for users who don't want to be tied into a gas contract or pay continual rental on large cylinders.
Common applications include welding/cutting, wine preservation, beer and beverage dispensing, carbonation systems, balloon gas, tyre inflation, purging, blanketing, refrigeration and air conditioning. Available with a variety of gas fills — Carbon Dioxide, Argon, Argon/CO2 mix, Oxygen, Nitrogen and Helium — in sizes from 0.95 litre (950ml) to 2.2 litre (2200ml). The full disposable range is designed and manufactured in conformity with UNI EN ISO 11118:2015 Directive 2010/35-UE T-PED and carries the RHO mark for the UK market.
Common questions
Compact FAQ content supports long-tail searches and answers buying objections before checkout.
When does a disposable cylinder make more sense than a refillable one?
When you don't want to be tied into a gas contract, don't want to pay continual rental, or don't want to handle the periodic re-certification of industrial sizes. Ideal for occasional, small-scale or first-time users.
What gases are available in disposable form?
Argon (MIG-welding aluminium and all TIG), Argon/CO2 mix (MIG-welding carbon steel), pure CO2 (MAG-welding, aquariums, beverage carbonation, beer dispense), food-grade CO2 E290, food-grade nitrogen E941, oxygen (welding, brazing, cutting thin sheet metal), nitrogen (HVAC&R purging, leak detection, motorsport tyres, laser cutting, lab use), and helium (balloon filling, laser welding, leak testing).
Are disposable cylinders safe and compliant?
Yes. All our non-refillable disposable cylinders are designed and manufactured in conformity with UNI EN ISO 11118:2015 Directive 2010/35-UE T-PED, and carry the RHO mark for the UK market.
What sizes do they come in?
Sizes range from 0.95 litre (950ml) up to 2.2 litre (2200ml). The 2.2L cylinders have a much larger capacity and are filled to a much higher pressure than conventional disposable cylinders currently available.
