Our SodaStream CO2 refill service takes your empty cylinders, refills them with food-grade CO2 and sends them back to your door. It covers screw-in SodaStream cylinders, quick-connect (pink) cylinders and the variants that fit Quooker CUBE and Grohe Blue taps, up to 425 g of gas per cylinder. Each refill carbonates up to 60 litres of sparkling water. Refills start from £6.
Every cylinder gets a safety and ownership check before filling. We refill customer-owned cylinders on calibrated scales, and we never fill a cylinder past its 10-year test date. The gas is food-grade CO2 certified to E290 standards, the same gas used for soft drinks in pubs.
How the refill works
The simplest route is our DPD Drop-off & Return service. Add it to your order at checkout for £18 per parcel. One parcel takes up to 6 cylinders and the price includes VAT.
- DPD emails you a return label and a QR code. There is nothing to arrange and no postage to pay.
- Box up your empties and drop the parcel at any DPD point. Post Offices scan the QR code from your phone. Sainsbury’s and Co-op stores take the printed label.
- We refill your cylinders with food-grade CO2 and send them back to you. The one £18 charge covers both journeys.
Packing your empties
Send empty cylinders only. An empty cylinder feels light and the valve is silent. Wrap each cylinder in bubble wrap or scrunched paper, fill the gaps in the box, tape the seams and stick the label on flat. Keep the parcel under 20 kg, with the longest side plus the second-longest side within 120 cm. You do not need a note inside a DPD service parcel. The label identifies your order.

Other ways to refill
- In person: bring your empties to our Margate depot at Strasbourg Street, Westwood Industrial Estate, Margate, Kent CT9 4JJ. We refill while you wait.
- Post them yourself: if you order without the DPD service, post your empties to the same address with a note inside. Include your full name, delivery address, phone number and order number.

Gas cylinder delivery depends on postcode, cylinder size and the selected bottle option. Check your postcode below — we use the same delivery rules as checkout, so the figure you see here is what you'll pay.
Cylinder policy
For safety reasons, gas cylinders and refill orders cannot be treated like standard parcel returns once opened, used or connected. If something is wrong with your delivery, contact us before sending anything back so we can advise the correct safe process.
